1962
Ok, I want to protest this contest. I believe I should be eligible to claim 1/2 of the prize money! The winner is R413.
This was the answer I was looking for. I’m a big Poly fan.
I forgot about the equally obscure 361.
As an aside, my Dad bought a a new 1960 Valiant, it was by far worst car he ever had. All sorts of electrical problems. He traded it for a 1962 Chrysler Newport, a great car with NO troubles.Jerry wins it, the valiant and imperial had them in 1960. 1961 was all cars with an alternator.
Jerry your turn to ask a question.
I don’t think anyone on this group was alive when the first swivel buckets were made. I remember Chrysler products had them in 1959.OK guys, what is the first year a manufacturer offered swivel bucket seats?
I think you are the winner. I was thinking 58 or 59, I can verify 59, but cannot confirm one in 58.I don’t think anyone on this group was alive when the first swivel buckets were made. I remember Chrysler products had them in 1959.
Ah! The question was! What year did a manufacturer make swivel buckets, so I have not researched further.I think you are the winner. I was thinking 58 or 59, I can verify 59, but cannot confirm one in 58.
Your turn?
One thing you are wrong about is there are many of us here old enough to know the cars of the era. I was 12 then.![]()

Canadian car? Taxi cab?My parents bought a new 1961 Pioneer 313, it had a generator.
Might have got something wrong. My question is in post #30.
Yes it is a Canadian car.Canadian car? Taxi cab?
Doesn’t fit the USA production. Read the shop manual.
I'm thinking you and 440 4 speed are the same age..I think you are the winner. I was thinking 58 or 59, I can verify 59, but cannot confirm one in 58.
