What are you using to seal the pickup to the oil pan?

The one I am going to be using on my 426 has sealing rings, they are a nylon type material.

I take a -12 fitting and machine a groove to capture half an o-ring. Tighten fitting into pick-up and O-ring seals to outside of pan. No sealer, no leaks.

Always wonder if you ran a Milodon single line system why couldn't run a fixed internal pickup off the stock oil pickup hole? Yes your would need a 9 or 10 qt pan.

My Milodon external set up with the stationary pick up has an o ring between the pan and the pick up. I changed the bulkhead fitting from a 45 to the 90 and the pan had to come off.

i ve never used one before which is better single or dual stock filter location or remote ,i have enough parts to do both?

The dual external line would be be better for a high RPM motor if you can fit it. Single line is fine, got one on my 512. I've used both a remote Oberg screen filter or a standard remote(extensive porting to remove the sharp edges). Both worked great. My current 512 has a stock location filter on the pump.

Thanks everyone. Picked some o-rings ( buna) and some quad rings ( viton) today. The pan has been ground clearance so not the best shaped. The pan has also been reinforced at that point so will try a quad ring first.

I have the dual line with my external oil lines. I am using the crush washers that came with the kit. So far so good, no leaks and it's been together several seasons now.

I run the Indy single line. 7100 rpm or more on every pass. Over 700 passes. Never hurt a bearing.
