I am done here.
Been abused and F...... around too many times.
Tried to help out fellow members and continually get screwed.

Disappointing to hear that you got screwed around by a bunch of people who are supposed to share interests.

How so?
Are we talking about regulars ? Or just the lurkers out there ?

Sorry you feel that way Steve. There are still good people out here who need parts.

I have had nothing but great experiences buying and selling parts on here, sorry to hear it didn't workout for you.

Mostly good experiences on here for me.. Take the good with the bad.. The bad... Well, It is just a different way of someone telling you when at a Flea Market after they wasted 10 minutes of your time, Beat you down on price and they tell you "I will be back at the end of the day"....

That’s funny. At Carlisle we were gonna get shirts made that said ‘I’ll be back’. I’ll be back is code for I won’t be back. Thanks for nothing!

That’s too bad. I’ve sold some stuff here and Fabo too and it had went well every time. Other than me losing a few dollars to PayPal because I can’t figure out their charges. Lol.

I have had good and bad.Twice ran and got quotes and then they never reply. One was a member that I have bought several parts from.

I've only been deceived once here about an item in "great" condition, but other than that Paypal has flown easily in both directions. USPS's postal service, not so great but it is what it is. Now if you're expecting money orders and the sorts, I can see where that goes off the rails like a train in India..

USPS has been my primary headache but I’ve had a few window shoppers that ask for shipping cost then are never to be heard from again.

As a seller I feel your pain. I have had to move on from a few customers over the years because it was clear after much conversation that we would be unable to meet their needs. It's better just to move forward knowing that once in a while you will not be able to make a deal work out.

I have had quite a few people ask for shipping quotes never to be seen again. Not sure why that is, it's simply logical to respond one way or another after initiating contact.

That said I usually sell parts until I am totally fed up with the human race in general and then take the rest of the spring/summer off. I tried to sell on FABO but apparently slant 6 guys are like 12v Cummins guys. No You can't call dibs on parts in my garage in a forum because you posted on the thread first. The person that lands me the money in my Paypal account is the new owner. If somebody shows up in person with cash that will override any internet tire kickers.

Ask for multiple shipping quotes within the same 20 mile area because you think my shipping quotes are high? Well I think you are a cheapskate and feel sorry for you. And btw no second quote. Wasting my time to save you money is not in the best interest in a couple hundred dollar deal. Then I start wondering where all of their money goes that they have all night to chisel me over like ten dollars that is going to UPS anyway? Lol one guy had me convinced he was high as hell on crack (or whatever) but he was also from big city, California and most of the large populations there seems to be pretty neurotic in nature. Don't take that personal if you are from LA and not like that lol!

The rules of selling are hard yet fair. You just have to shrug off the stuff that doesn't make sense to you.

I sell alot and never had any issues you got to know who your dealing with . I know the main group and I work more easily with them people with a few post I try avoiding if there in desperate need of my parts that's fine we can call and discuss if I feel your real then we can go ahead if I feel there not I'll tell them I'm busy for a few days and to msg me in a couple days if they come back I know there real . Can you elaborate on what happened?

The hell with the water pump housing what about the horde of transmission parts?

Sorry to hear, I try my best to be upfront and honest. Good luck ..... I agree I’ve dealt with the run around all my life and that’s why I just want to get to the point and move on so I can get something else accomplished. So far I’ve had good luck here ..and want it to stay that way.
