I like to day dream about cars and trucks and what they would look like with additions and subtractions of parts and sections of different makes and models.

Here's one of my favorites...

It's a 1946-48 Dodge 1 1/2Ton rolling chassis and body. 2 speed rear end, transfer high/low..
duals and a flathead 6.

Now, I SEE IT with a 2020 Dodge roll back wrecker bed behind the cab on a 2 ton 4 x 4 truck chassis, a mighty Elephant motor and modern transfer case. Huge ventilated discs with monster calipers at all 4 corners, chrome wheels, radial long haul tires, keep the patina, modern custom frame and suspension, new glass, rubber and seals, deluxe leather clad interior suitable for long haul classic car fetching in all weather conditions, cab roof lights, LED headlights, the entire front clip, including fenders rotating forwards like a semi truck front end, barrel gas tanks both sides under the bed. new chrome everything.

I wanted to use Cuda parts, grill and tail lights on a Dakota pickup and call it a Dacuda. That was before I saw what those parts cost!

Here's another that I like...

1963 Buick Electra 225 sedan. Married to a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville Front half. Suicide doors, LS 9 twin turbo. Ditch the weird crease bodyline down each side . Sumptuous interior in soft leather with all the bells and whistles, Roadster Shop frame / suspension, 4 whl disc, air bagged. Cobalt blue & Cream.

I’ll just take that 66 Pontiac the way it is! Cool cars!

that'd be a cool truck project:thumbsup:

:usflag:

Yeah, that truck body on a modern chassis w/ roll back bed would be a great rig to drive out west and buy old cars to drag back.

This another likely candidate for the same deal...1938 Diamond "T".....

Ian Roussel on Full Custom Garage did this with a 48-49 International (Episode 2 "Big Truckin' 2014)

Ghost here is a thread on our 52

This is one I would like to have built for me. It was NEVER produced, except this one engineer prototype. It's the "China - Burma Road" truck. It would be the forerunner of the "Power Wagon" The actual CBRT's were different than this prototype.

Here's a nice one. Would be great as a complete restoration. 1945 Studebaker M1528 Truck with a WW2 C-9 cab #137 produced. This is one of the so called "Art Deco" trucks. The speedo is all art deco numerals font. Very cool truck, 137th one made in '45.
