I am about to Install a fresh rebuilt 360 and 727 auto, with 340 cam and duals, a very sedate but spirited sedan! One grandma owned 1966 coronet. No rust ever, no dents, low mileage. but fresh paint and interior,,,,, I wanted an original down to the ground riding sedan. maybe head west to Salt lake in the spring for a road trip?

Here's what started the whole remodeling gig. My wife's surgery in January left her partially disabled so I designed and built her a handicapped shower. Everyone that sees it really likes it. I'm 72 and have been working 7 days a week without a break. Last night I was under the house until 12:30 A.M. finishing the gas line to her new 36" commercial gas cooktop. I gutted the kitchen near the end of August and it's been a long time without being able to cook. Today, 12/21/2020, she was finally able to use the cooktop.

Putting these forged replacement 440 six pack pistons that I recently bought on a diet. These are relatively inexpensive, updated coated piston with a different alloy allowing much tighter piston to wall clearance than the old forged replacements I had years ago.

But they are still heavy; no body needs a piston top more than 1/2" thick, so with some time and effort they can be slimmed down for some weight reduction.

Blew out the main brake line, the fuel line, and the fuel return/vent line. Also prepped the car for a respray of the undercoating. Underside is in great shape, brake and fuel lines were like new so they will stay. The front lines and over the axle lines will get changed out. Just waiting on some body plugs from Detroit Muscle Technologies before I can spray.

More work on the 6 pack pistons. Decided to float the pins, so cutting lock ring groves in the pistons for Tru Arc locks.

Not a Mopar, just a used car that I'm detailing but I thought I would share.

I've seen several videos of people restoring their radiator overflow bottles and most are using an acid of somekind. I thought, hey I have some aluminium wheel cleaner that contains acid.
