That sucks, hopefully, he/police can find it

hopefully, he has replacement valued insurance

That is a shame, I know Wakeman. I didn't know he had a 68 Charger. I thought he was mostly into the earlier Mopars. I really hope they catch the thief and recover the car unharmed.

From his FB page...

UPDATED!!! Car has been seen three times now! Twice in accidents! West side - 1-76 & Sheridan, 44th and Kipling, and Sloan's Lake! It's all smashed up. They are destroying it.

That sucks even more... It will be ditched soon...

What a shame. Theres going to be a time hopefully where a tracking device can be used on these Old cars. Beat these thieves at there stupid games .

even if its smashed I hope they get it back,I never got mine back and it kills me.

Wakeman's a heck of a good guy. I was at his shop early last year and was surprised to see he had a half dozen or so early b bodies sitting outside his shop. I wondered at the time if that was a problem waiting to happen. As I recall that part of town didn't look like the greatest neighborhood. He was in the middle of a Jeep engine conversion at that time and his work was impressive. Hope it sorts out for him soon.

Is that for real? That totally sucks.

You can install a LoJack or other form of GPS tracking. Only problem is that on these cars its hard to conceal something like a tracker. Also, if the car isn't driven often enough to keep the battery charged while the tracker uses battery power then the tracker has to be independently powered which is another weakness...

They sell satellite tracking devices small enough to conceal. You could easily install it into a frame rail and it would never be found. I haul heavy equipment for a living and they all have a lojack of some sort. You could have a week and every tool available to man and never find the device.

Why I have a BIG White X on top of Big Orange and other equipment in the yard. I have the means to find that X at my disposal...

THAT SUCKS, But I give him credit to see that things could be so much worse then losing a car. Dont get me wrong I would be so sick to my stomach.

That is fixable. It may take a bit. But very doable.

Horrible ending... Hope they caught the guy.

That is just awful!!! That must have been a hell of a collision to crumple that fender like that. I hope he bails the thief out of jail and shows him around the back of his shop!!
