Considering selling my real 1969 Dodge Charger 500. It is 1 of 392 built as required for Nascar. This car was the first Dodge aero car and preceded the Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird. It is a date code 440 and 727, car was restored in 2016 and is extremely nice with no rust or major flaws. Maybe a small scratch or 2. Interior was also redone in 2016. The car has always been registered in the aero car club and has quite a storied history, as it was driven a lot back in the 70's and 80's not just sitting in someone's garage with no miles on it. These hardly ever come up for sale. Clean title in hand located in Holden Louisiana. Serious only please. $95000 obo

One of my favorite al time MoPars

a guy in Concord Ca. near a friend of mines place when I was young
had a 426cid Hemi 4 speed, Dana-60, white, black bucket seat interior
I want to say a 'red tail stripe' with 500 callouts, but may have been black
1969 Charger 500, with chrome road wheels
for the 1st couple of years
IIRC later had a set of Cragers S/S 15x10 n50/15 on the rear, like h/60's on front
I drooled over that car every time, I rode my bike by to go to Jeffs place
or drove my 68 Charger R/T by years later
Whenever the garage was open, I'd stop & talk with him
really nice guy...

not his car but much like it, except for the wheels/tires & interior color, trans etc.

that copper colored one is Drool City.
this is what i consider to be the ultimate chargers.
thanks for sharing those pics Budnicks.

I much prefer the 500's to Daytonas myself. Not as cartoonish, just all business.

It is 1 of 392 built as required for Nascar.

It's generally considered that the actual number now is 548 or 580, but still not rock solid proven.
The good news is that means your odds of finding one are higher

There was a green on green one like that sitting in a back parking lot on the Coronado Navy base in San Diego In the late 80's I happened across. Looked like it was there awhile, likley the owner was on deployment. Left a note, never heard nothing and was gone a few months later.

I’ll catch hell for this, I totally understand the rarity and pedigree of these cars but the nose of the aero cars is downright ugly compared to other Chargers. The clean lines of the hidden headlights are too just iconic.

We’re insulted!

Yep... ugliest car I own... but it's mine! :poke:

Sorry.. got sucked in there. Reading the whole thing realize you're talking the 500 here. I'd take one in a heart beat!

I used to own that Y2 yellow 500,that is now painted B5. I traded it to Troy for my 70 Charger R/T V code car. I sold my 69 1/2 A 12 Superbee to buy that Charger 500.
