Found this new item on pg 412 of the Classic Industries MOPAR catalog (see pic in catalog, don't know how to paste). An electric-boosted brake master cyl from a company called ABS. I am curious if anyone has installed one of these systems?
Thanx for the link, I'm a little green with this cyber stuff...
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But I'm not happy with vacuum and I am using a separate pump too. I have been thinking Hydro-Boost when I ran across this electrical system. Hydro is about half the cost and in some ways simpler. Hmmmmm...$1374?! Holy cow!
Coincidentally, In the last episode of Wheeler Dealers this season, the Brit boys "civilize" a 440-powered 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 that was used for drag racing. One of the mods performed was adding the ABS electric brake booster system. The servo/accumulator looks similar in size to the vacuum pump I installed under the battery tray. Since I already have power there, it would be convenient to locate the unit there. The only other items needed is to run a brake line from the servo/accumulator to the new master cyl, and a fluid return hose. It is tempting.https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Comp...r-Booster-Master-Cylinder-Disc-Disc,8335.html
Hmm, very interesting.
The reviews are great. There’s some great tech in the Q&A section
