Hey guy's I was reading a post on the Facebook group 73/74 Plymouth Road Runners and Satellites for Sale. People were talking about whether or not AMD will ever make full quarters for the 73\74's. A guy came into the conversation saying he had just spoke with some one from AMD a couple days earlier. The person told him that if they had a guaranteed order of 150 left and right quarters at $350.00 each for a total of $700.00 each person they would stamp 300 of them. I feel like if this is something AMD is willing to do there's got to be enough people to put together a group buy to get this done. I have my $700.00 ready to go if we can make this happen.

I'd buy a pair for sure.

Is there a way to let AMD know?

No way they would sell full 1/4s that cheap!
Something sounds off! Maybe half 1/4's
72 charger full 1/4's were $699 or so each

Heck, I need them. If they are $700 each, so be it. At least I can buy them when I need them, which is better than I have now - nothing.

AMD has been talking that same old story for over 10 years, before i started my restoration in 2010 they were saying they were looking into making quarters for 73/74 RR/Satellite, well, 11 years later, my restoration has been done for 7 years, and hey, no quarter yet! Its a bunch of BS.

I emailed AMD to check on the validity of the statement as I did not hear it first hand. We will see

It's all supply and demand. I do believe that we may be reaching a time when demand for these cars increases enough and the supply of sheet metal that can be used to restore them is gone. Prior to that point, the tooling is likely too expensive to build and make the quarters profitable.

Amd responded to me on Instagram and said they are looking into making '66-'67 charger full quarters.

I don't want to have to pay $2000 for handmade ones

I wonder if they are setting up to re-stamp the rear half patch for the 73/74 that they sold several years ago?

That might be in line with the price estimate.

It would be nice if they did the whole wheel arch, as that seems to be a common area for major rust.

AMD site says "in stock"-

...and only $70.

Ordered one.

Note, LH side only.

The LH side of mine was done with the same piece by the PO, but I'm not thrilled with how they did it, so this will be insurance if I need to redo it.

They only have the LH side in stock?

Order in process. $13 via FedEx to ship. What could go wrong? Nervous!:praying:

I bought one too. This can save me some time as I need to make some patches around the rear wheels - rust is peeking back out again from my (low budget) restoration in 1992.
