Anyone with a Jeep? Looking for the BEST Jeep Forum...

This is a local BIG jeep

We go Jeepin/Camping every month or so.
This little YJ goes hard, hurts some feelings. Newer Jeeps with winches, huge tires, a bunch of accessories can't do the hills this old turd does.
Maybe they are too heavy, maybe mines just paid for, and IDGAF.
I put a Ferd 8.8 with a locker in it this week, should be a good add.

It is hard not to modify
I bought a TJ in 02 and was not going to modify it
Now it has a long arm ARB lockers ,4 speed Atlas , air operated front sway bar , 35 12.50 tires and lots of other small things winche, bumpers, off road lights front and under
And it loves the Rubicon trail and Moab

JEEP stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket " or "Just Exchange Expensive Parts "

WHOA!!
I see a whole lotta...
"Let's see your Jeeps and take a **** on the new Jeep models" posts,
BUT
if I remember correctly, or just re-read the title of the thread I started, I think things have gone off the rails here!!
Let's see, posts #3, 4, and 6 make reference to Jeep sites/forums, my forum friend @snakeyes extolled the virtues of "other" Jeep Gladiator models and called the one my wife bought a "thing" and I could hear the disdainful tone even though I was reading, not hearing what he said :poke: :D..."junk of a version"? Hey, I have no experience with the ones you posted, and they look "beefy" but I wouldn't call the one we just bought "junk"...
:soapbox:
Now there may be a few times when I have to drive her Jeep, but I don't let the vehicle I drive define who I am, so "girlie man" Jeep? Well, my wife is a woman, and the custom touches to "make it hers" that were added today look pretty cool, because it's what she wanted on her Jeep!

So I'm guilty of taking a thread on a tangent, but can you all suggest any other good forums or sites for information on the new Gladiator models, and any aftermarket parts suppliers that are reasonably priced and have a good selection? Thanks!

That did go off the tracks rather quickly!
That Gladiator is cool though!

Quadratec 4x4 and Northridge 4x4 are both good sites for accessory's and cool items

love your jeep

Lol...
Not "my" Jeep!
It's my wife's Jeep!
I found out about these though when I was taking myself through a quick education on the Jeep Gladiator.....
All I can say is WOW:

...and if that isn't enough, I just saw a busy shop, "America's Most Wanted" and with racks of Mopar Crate engines stacked several layers high. Hellephant? Oh yeah! Demon and Hellcat crate engines? Those too!
ALL going into Jeeps like my wife just bought and many others! Gladiator, the smaller Jeep Wrangler, and more!

They've been putting G3 Hemi's into Jeeps for quite awhile, a lot of work but I am sure its fun.

Even with the supercharger, it looks "factory"...
Makes me wonder, even with the best possible radiator and fans, how they keep them cool.
Allegedly, the design engineers have trouble on these newer Jeeps and the cooling system because of the "classic Jeep grill" design and how it limits airflow. A few reviews commented on temps climbing pretty high on inclines at highway speed while towing.

I have about 6000 posts over on jeepforum.....it's a great site. Lots of very knowledgeable folks on it. I have not been in there much since I killed my Jeep though. It was a mildly lifted, tuned and modified Jeep Grand Cherokee, WJ shape...the last proper GG...with solid axles front and rear. Not a model you can get there though as it was the CRD version powered by the five cylinder Merc 2.7 diesel. And like lots of Jeeps sold in Europe it was NOT built in the USA....but in Austria. So unlike the US ones had a fully galvanized bodyshell. Loved that car!

CJ-6.

Fairly rare and quite pricey today.

I almost bought a '67 M-880 in the 90's.
