Any Pontiac fans?

Specifically a '79 Trans Am. Looking for a rough idea on value. Solar Gold,WS6,400-4 speed,T-tops,A/C,power windows. Comes with window sticker and other documents. Garage stored since 1995, has 130,000 miles. Besides the obvious that needs to be gone through, needs front bumper inserts(spoiler is there,was taken off for transport),and headliner. Have not looked at it yet. Pics included. Rust spot shown is the only rust, original paint.

My friemd just sold his 70 Firebird 350 4 speed yesterday. The Firebird market is strong,it brought more than we thought it would. Most people are swapping LS engines into those smog era Trans Am cars,to make them run as fast as they look.

Those firebird hood decals were a pain in the *** to install . Especially when it was something totally new at the time. They were not cheap either. They were neat to look at back then as well. They had that go fast appearance.

If it's the real T/A 6.6 engine, it's fairly rare; only 8,326 were made out of over 117,000 Trans-Ams built in 1979. The rest had either lower powered Olds 403 or Pontiac 301 engines in them. Having the four speed really helps.

Pontiac uses the plastic tooth cam sprocket too.
Why sitting so long?
Rust hole...how extensive?
Headliner is separating. The T-top seals probably leaked a long time ago.
A/C compressor belt is off. Those GM a/c clutches suck, but replaceable. Sometimes they go south because the compressor shaft seal leaks.
Door shut lines and gaps look odd to me.

My friends had '72 and '74 models. Their cars were not structurally stiff. The door shut lines would close when the car was jacked. Hopefully, Pontiac stiffened them up when adding a T-top. That being said, the cult following would probably ignore the door shut lines.​

The posi, if it has one, will need those slip plates (I don't recall the name) will need replacing after 130,000 miles. Use the correct lube and GM modifier.

Back in the early nineties,a guy wanted to trade me a white 70 TA 455 4 speed for my 70 Charger R/T SE 440 4 speed. I kept my Charger with no regrets,but the TA was a nice car,and fast too.

Current owner says runs good but did order a fuel pump. Rust hole is supposedly only rust on car. Original owner sold it to his brother(who the current owner bought it from) in 1985. He put it in the garage in 1995. Inspection sticker backs this up also. Why it was parked I do not know. As for door lines.....maybe not sitting level on stands and ramps??? Won't know until or if I go look at it. He will be coming to see my car first, if he likes mine then I will check this one out....if not then no need for me to look at it.

I like that car and color (not sure if gold will reduce value for some people); and who can say no to a 400, 4 speed. However, I wouldn't value it more than $10k. Anything more would be a gamble to me because:

Rework both cylinder heads.
Replace timing gears and chain.
Replace water pump. They sucked when new.
Update entire a/c system.
Replace all belts and hoses.
Replace p/s hoses.
Replace oil pan gasket and seals.
Clean/repair or replace radiator.
Service rear differential.
Replace exhaust system.
Replace T-top seals, door seals, trunk seals, and hood seals.
Replace gas tank, lines, pump & filter, and rebuild carb.
Replace master cylinder and diaphragm while you have the cylinder heads off. Other brakes stuff is simple and relatively cheap.
