Did you name your car?

I call my work van the mobile command center or the Ford tool box. I will post pictures and you will understand why.

I didn't name my cars but I did name my truck. Nalgona. Which is Spanish for big butt. See my picture for the reason.

My daughter wanted to name her car, so we decided to have a contest over on FABO. We made it like a game show, complete with prizes, and oh what fun we had. In the end there were over 5 pages of contestants, and a lot of great names. One of the ones we laughed at the most was “Bob”, and we were going to go with that until a friend and member shot out the winning name…”Sunfish”. It was the perfect name, so Sunfish it is.

here’s Sunfish as it was during the contest, and another shot as it is today. The Rallyes are going back on this year, Nella likes them better, and she’s the boss, so Rallyes it is!

The song sister golden hair surprise comes to mind. Sometimes you have to set your sites on Monday and put your wheels on! After all we have an image to uphold! Lol

Seriously, you didn't scrap that van? In my area that is pristine!
Mike
You're seeing it's "good side" lol. It had a fist size hole on the driver's A Pillar and rust all around the roofline, as many do. The clutch was shot, I was on the 3rd rear end (got burned by a junkyard one) the 318 was belching death, fuel tank needed swapping, many other issues. It was a sad day, but no one wanted it locally for more than scrap price and I wanted to concentrate on Nite Thing so it had to go. It was an excellent parts hauler; I had a 727 and a spare 400 rolling around in the back of the van for most of the time it was my daily driver.

“There was only one name I could think of”

Mine get names when there earned.
I don't name them till I Know about it.
The car I'm building now is a 1938 Cadillac
It had a bit so nice vib to it when I meet it. Something bad evil even . I've came across this feeling before when I was big in to WW1- WW2 stuff mostly knives there was one in particular that freaked everyone out that touched it even caused the hairs on my neck to stand and send a chill the first time I held it. I thought it was covered in rust I had it looked at to clean it up some the guy said it was very old blood and he didn't even want it near his shop said it scared him. Soooo.
This old grandma Cadillac sent me this not nice feeling and made me look into it a bit more finding it was in really good shape overall (normal I wouldn't touch this style car) so I bought it guy was practically giving it away .
Then I started pulling out some strange items medicine needles gun ..... All very old maybe doctor stuff had gun looked at by my cop buddy . Said it was fine... Tossed the rest away . Then there was some old sin city stuff in truck and I started think wow who ever owned this was about having fun. My helper said maybe the devil came up for a vacation and had a good ol time in this car . So I decided to build what I thought the devil would drive out of this car and named it sinner!

There's been others but they come and go .
My kid named my super bee the
racing banana it then got a name change to yellow submarine
Most know why!

That's a pretty cool story, really like the name Sinner! I thought about naming a car Unrepentant but settled on Thriller. This car was at deaths door and saved so I have a special affinity for it.
