When I was very young, traveling through Tennessee with my parents, my Dad had a story about an Indian named "Falling Rocks". When we passed a sign "Watch Out For Falling Rocks" my Dad would say "I guess they still haven't found him."

That's odd. Usually the coyote survives catastrophes such as this, seldom ending up with little more damage than an accordion body.
