Meteorologists Call For Rain Showers This Weekend And A Slight Chance Of Getting Crushed By A Falling Boeing Airliner Part

Can you tell me more about this photo?
That was a 2009 photo contest winner, Saint Martin Island (Caribbean) has the landing strip close to the beach. Government signs warn about the danger of being blown into the water. Oddly enough, government fences to keep people away haven't been installed.

That’s crazy. I remember landing on St Thomas and thinking we were going into the water.. The pilots don’t have much room to work with…

At one time, Boeing was a premiere airplane manufacturer. When it comes to flying and airplanes, safety should never be compromised for the sake of profits. Yet that is always what it is about it seems. I mean...How much is enough for these concerns??? But not so as of late. Too much off-shore farming out of parts manufacturing, and shoddy maintenance standards, plus the knowledge and education levels along with certifications of mechanics have been reduced for the sake of DEI, plus a lack of QC!!! All the more reason that I quit flying after I retired from the USAF, and never will fly again!!! cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag::usflag:

Don't worry about the tires. They are made of rubber, and will just bounce off things. I have seen it all the time in cartoons.

Instead of running like hell, they are all just taking pictures with their cell phones!

Problem is Airlines saving money, this along with DEI are building up to bigger problems.

New York City – Airlines are increasingly having planes fixed, overhauled, and maintained by lower-skilled workers in less-secure facilities in South America and Asia. This upward trend increases the risk of a potentially catastrophic mechanical failure – and takes away jobs that can, and should, be done by better qualified American aviation mechanics. Today, union leaders and members of Congress urged passage of legislation to close safety loopholes and protect American jobs.
The legislation would close troubling loopholes that currently allow foreign repair and maintenance facilities to operate without these requirements that facilities in the U.S. must comply with:
  • Drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive personnel
  • Background checks for workers at maintenance facilities
  • Security threat assessments for foreign facilities
  • Unannounced inspections for maintenance operations
  • Minimum qualifications for aircraft mechanics
The number of foreign repair and maintenance shops used by the U.S. airline industry has grown 36% in the last 8 years. They are located in El Salvador, Thailand, Brazil, China, Costa Rica and other countries.

As a former USAF, jet aircraft mechanic, i don't understand how a wheel & tire assembly can fall off an airliner in climbing, from take off.
Somewhere along the line, some mechanic(s) F'ed up.
Maybe LH lug nuts on the drivers side would prevent the wheels from falling off

Diversity hiring at it's best..
if it was/is real  Onion or Bee :poke:
but it's sad that type of stuff happens in todays tech age

DEI BS would be the cause, not qualified
but;
checks all off all the boxes though

no matter what some people will claim it to be
or alleged 'safety practices' protocols :blah:
someone is failing & really bad, all for social justice :jackoff:

Crazy...

Boeing whistleblower John Barnett is seen in final video before his 'suicide' warning that aviation giant fired quality control inspectors and mechanics 'approved their own work'

All you guys don't know nuttin'. Just buy these electric cars that drive by themselves, let the computers and electronics do all the stuff.

Looking at the vid you can see smoke coming off the landing gear. Maybe a wheel bearing?
