Hey folks, I'm working on restoring some old valve covers for my motor. Do any of you all have tips for how to go about recreating the rubberized coating found on the ends up the spark plug wire guides?
Plasti-dip. I sometimes find it’s too thick. So I take some out in a separate small container and thin with a few drops of acetone. Then do multiple dips until it is thickness you want…or thick enough so that the wires will get slightly nipped.
I restore and customize parts for a living, and add yet another vote for PlastiDip. CaswellPlating.com has it for a good price and ships quickly since I can't find it locally out here in the boonies.
