Hey guys, haven't posted in a bit as I haven't worked too much on the 66 charger lately. I'll be getting into some front end suspension work to have an alignment done at the shop. I was going to replace the front sway bar bushings as I am getting a clunky sound when accelerating and the bushings are pretty much toast. However I can't seem to find the "links" the nut on top doesn't want to seem to come off all the way and it is starting to get rounded. There is no room for a socket to fit. I'm thinking maybe just replace the whole thing with an after market. Thoughts? Or if I can find the original links somewhere that would be great

I was getting the clunking as well. Had to replace upper control arm and all bushings on the driver side. Couldn't do it myself and couldn't afford to have both sides done at once. Passenger next year, but it did take care of the clonk noise. Also did the shocks and links both sides. They were shot.

Yeah I have some control arm bushings coming, I have all the tie rod ends, lower ball joints and uppers. I found the correct bushings for the links that are under there and should be in the mail. Also figured out that nut on the top. Hopefully this fixes the clunk. When I bring it into the shop I'm going to have them check the motor mounts to make sure they are good.

You can do that. Open the hood, put it in gear with your foot on the brake and rev the engine, If you see the engine/air cleaner move, it's prolly broken. Usually one side will lift if it is.
They do get old.

Thanks for the advice!
