Who thinks 7018 wont hold up?
These are rusted out so have no choice but to fix them.MIG, a stick on the k frame , sure , but the frame rails , I wouldn't touch them , they are thin and will crack later
Already on that doing some plate on the back to keep them in.I think you should weld up the doors - our forefathers Luke and Bo thought of this so it must be right. Heck, why not weld up the trunk while your there, get rid of the backseat and trunk divider and after your missus has climbed out through the window she can just reach in and grab the groceries.
That would be a Thought but first one Is Kiss my ***.Already on that doing some plate on the back to keep them in.
oh , didn't know you were building a general lee , get you a bunch of plates and pipe and weld away
Humm you are a raceist building a Gerenal lee and pipes.oh , didn't know you were building a general lee , get you a bunch of plates and pipe and weld away
Most like good cars in a way.I don't get it
Bottom line I dont like a K frame and will weld it strong.
The K looks strong enough to take a good hit if that broke or bent really bad crash. One advantage to having it bolt in is being able to replace it. Damage can happen easily if you run into a curb, over substantial road debris, etc. I have never destroyed one personally, but I have bought a couple parts cars in the past where the K is wasted and the easy fix is to bolt another one in.
