Electric weed trimmer?

Got my Milwaukee 2 years ago, it was 200$, came with a 200$ 9ah battery and charger. Home Depot has em cheap this time of year.
I prefer red tools over yellow.

Ryobi here as well. First one had a motor failure, exchanged it, ended up after that deal (clerk said "nah, just keep those") with two chargers and four batteries. SCORE. As it is, though, I can do my whole yard pretty much on one battery. I keep a spare in my pocket, swap if needed to finish it up, then 2 live on the chargers and 2 on the shelf waiting for next session. Good power, no tiny carburetor to piss me off, and the string is easy enough to wind/load - secure the "start" end on the spool, and simply wrap till full. Tap-feed works great - thump it on the ground and it spits out more string.

I need a new weed wacker, thinking about going electric (40 volt battery).
Anybody have any experience with them? I’m concerned it won’t have enough power.

I got a B&D as a gift. It works as both a weed whacker AND edger. It locks in for either use. I love it, one of the best convenient tools I have !! I got 3 batteries, since I got a drill-driver & a blower using the same battery. (The blower is NOT high on power, only for quickie-use instead of a broom.) But the combo weed-whacker/edger is great.

I have the Ryobi One 18volt Trimmer/Edger. It is great ! I use the twisted line which lasts much longer than the standard line.

Thanks everyone.
Picked up the Ego today and love it.
No mixing gas, no starter fluid, quiet, light and more powerful than my gas trimmer.
And I can hang it in the garage with out gas leaking.
