Smoked turkey this year, for the first time ever. Went up a bunch over last year! We buy all of our meat from a local butcher shop. The same bird last year was about $30. This year, it's double that. Nice thing is it's ready to eat! Pick it up the day before Thanksgiving, boom, done!

And honestly, my wife really can't cook a turkey very well.

Not the same as years ago. There are 3 of us left. Wife use to cook for 15 or so, those days are gone for us.

Prime rib wins again and there’s lots of turkeys left for everyone else. We have had many great traditional dinners over the years and some fantastic family times but it is quieter now so we will enjoy our prime rib.

Christmas is when we do something non- traditional regarding Christmas dinner. Last year was homemade tamales and mole' from a Mexican food truck. The year prior, we had lasagna. In '18, it was spaghetti & meatballs with garlic bread & salad. A little wine helps, too!

Eating turkey has long been a tradition at Thanksgiving, So who is skipping the bird?

I’m not the biggest fan of turkey,so my wife will also have Roast Pork,Eggplant, lasagna, & lovely Honeybaked ham..... My kids want turkey and all the fixin’s.

Is Mario having Steak?
Due to current circumstance, turkey is off the
table. Pretty scarce where I'm at. Thought I'd
try cranberry sauce with ham, sweet potatoes,
and chicken stuffing. Still thankful....my belly
will be full, and all family members doing well.
And I still get to work on my Mopar!

I've been eating crow for a long time. There's no end in sight.

You can tell how poor I am with Swanson's tv dinner. Obviously, you're in a higher income bracket if you can afford Stouffer's.
I figured since I haven’t spent any money on the Charger for a week, I can splurge and move up to Stouffer‘s instead of this.

Twenty years of active duty service in the USAF, and I can remember being deployed over several Thanksgiving holidays. When I reported to basic training at Lackland, that happened to be Thanksgiving week...boy, was I not looking at a calendar at that time!

Curiously enough, I managed to spend nearly every Christmas but my first two, at home.

Maybe I'll have a pumpkin spice blizzard at Dairy Queen.

Wife bought a turkey after I "advised" her not to. No idea what she paid for it, but I'm sure that it was too much. I'm kind of a sour-puss when it comes to Thanksgiving. I don't give two sh*ts for turkey in the first place, and then she cooks way too much food and I get stuck with clean up duty which takes way too long. After over two decades of this arrangement I just want the punishment to end. I'd be fine with Chinese take-out or a trip to Denny's for Thanksgiving at this point... The Swanson's TV Dinner even looks okay...but make mine Salisbury Steak... :D
