Quick question. There is a 69 woodgrain radio bezel reproduction on Classic Industries from "Mopar Authentic Restoration product" for around $100. I also see one for $200 on AMD from "X-Parts". This is why I have trust issues because I find it hard to believe (2) different factories are out there making this part. Thoughts?

same part different dealer, reproduction bezels are not as good as I found this out for myself. And not worth the money. Paint on them is junk comes off just by touching them.

Well I finally found the GTX hockey stick and the drivers side piece. I'm likely going to have to clear all 3 pieces for a uniform finish. So what part flakes off the black? I can redo the black and just clear all 3 parts?

I bought the set for my Bee and the black paint would rub off,I thing the used water paint LOL I redid my wood grain on my original dash plates..

I have polished the fronts with a series of wet sand paper, like starting with 400 grit. Then up to 1500, 2000 or higher. Lastly use the plastic headlight polishing compound, a drill and those buffing wheels. Mine turned out great

Finally pieced it all together and did order the aftermarket radio bezel. The match speaks for itself. Real happy. Still need to buff the OEM stuff including the astronomically expensive hockey stick. Source: Vans Auto, eBay and Mo-Par Restos who lives completely off the grid!

I've found that the '68 pieces were slightly lighter than the '69 pieces. The radio bezel is obvious because of the lettering, but the other two pieces are often mixed. You see guys advertise them as the same all the time and they are not.

That said, I had one used and two NOS '68 radio bezels and all three were a different color. so you're mileage may vary.
