I have a 66 Charger that I am restoring as a daily driver. It currently sits high in the back. How can I lower the *** end without compromising the suspension and ride quality very much? Thank you in advance!

I added a listing photo from when I bought it. It came to me with worn out and leaking air adjustable shocks that I replaced. You can see the stance was much different. I’ll remove the tires today and take some more pics.

Why is it sitting high? Does it have longer rear spring shackles or air shocks to make it sit higher in the rear?

Lowering blocks. Search online. Several manufacturers to choose from.

Photos of the car from the side would be helpful.

With stock leaf springs and nothing else, there is no reason for your *** to be up in the air. As noted, pics and/or more info needed.

One I had. This was from 23 years ago
2'' blocks and Eaton Detroit Springs 2'' drop rear leaf springs with 100# increase over stock springs.
Lowered torsion bars to match. Shaved lower control arm bump stops to 3/4''. Ride was nice.
What we did on a low budget,or what was considered low over 20 years ago.

It currently sits on 295/55/15 with KYB Gas Adjust Shocks. I plan on replacing the tires with 235 or 255/60/15 in the rear. My main concern is the gap between the tire and the rear quarter panel.

What the hell is going on with that suspension ?? What is that under there ? I don't care about the tires or shocks.

I see what you mean now.
How are the springs set up ?
Need a picture from under the rear to see how the back of the springs are hooked up.
And maybe it’s the angle of the picture but the rear end looks forward for some reason.

Something is way out of whack under there, & it has nothing to do with tires or your shocks.

Superstock springs with a factory (non extended) hanger?

Proud to say I think I know what this is. The rear shackle flipped forward.
Well not that proud.

Take it across the border for some upholstery work. The back end will be lower when they get done. Just pray you don't get pulled out of line for inspection when you come back across.

Looks like you may not have the correct springs for a Charger installed.
