I've never worked 9 to 5 in my life. They always make 9-5 sound like such drudgery. 8 to 5 has always been the minimum my entire working career.

Yep 8-5 here with a mandatory 1 hour lunch unpaid that I normally work through.

I start at 6:00... 5:00 on Saturday.:(:)

Yup: What the heck is 9-5, Monday to Friday?

I'd love a 9 to 5 work day.
Currently 7am to 5:30pm IF I'm lucky.

You people need to get a life... Slow down and enjoy life for awhile...

When I was going into business for myself I kept hearing how you only needed to work half a day... They were right, twelve hours...

Honestly, I don't work that many hours much anymore, always at least eight but those 12-18 hour days aren't easy anymore.. While I was in Texas back in December I put in a couple twelve hour days & one eighteen hour day cause things didn't go as planned... But anymore thats the exception...

I’ve never even seen a 9 to 5 job, or known anyone that had one. Eight to five, minimum. Wife occasionally has to start at nine at the hospital but then has to work until six, as a minimum.

630 to 3 for me. I told my boss when I got hired I like to have my afternoons and be home before the sun sets in winter. He was good with that, it also has some one there first thing
Great people to work with

5:00 am to whenever. Do 50 office hours minimum a week.
And I have +/- 90 minute daily total commute time
2 more years……..

Most days I work 1/2 days 6am - 6pm some days more

Was 630-3 for me they put us on 4-10s so now it's 430-3.

9 to 5 was a Dolly Parton movie....

I would go bonkers if I had to work until 5:00 every day.
I've worked in construction since 1986. Almost every job started at the half hour nearest the sunrise. In rare cases, we worked overtime. I learned REAL quick that the extra taxation I see on my overtime pay absolutely destroyed my incentive to work extra hours. Why give up my afternoons and Saturdays to average LESS per hour than I did through the week?
In Dec 2019 through early 2020, I worked for a company where the Superintendent took a liking to me and wanted me to work 9-10 hour days and Saturday. I hated it. The job wasn't much fun so any extra time there was like eating an extra portion of a crappy meal.
I value my time off. It doesn't matter what I am doing either....yard work, car stuff, lazing on the couch watching reruns of CHiPs....My off time is MY time and I don't like giving it up.
9-5.....
Who actually starts work that late besides bank workers?

I work till 2:30 now, I miss my 4am to 1:30pm.
