400 big block dyno run

Exactly!! Why bother? Why spend the money?(I mean the gear change. Im OK with the SG, obviously)

I meant is noticeable to get a bit more fun, but not noticeable to get worried about comfort or RPMs. Sure will spend 8-10% more gas LOL. That's critic nowdays.

With both wheels off the floor, when you spin a wheel, a suregrip equipped rear will have both tires spinning the same way. An open rear, or peg leg, each tire spins in the opposite direction.

Thank you all for your great advice and information I'm leaving towards 3:55 as soon as I get enough money I will be getting those... any more advice? So far gears torque converter and tires

Well, you should know the tire size and gear ratio you want to end up with before contacting the converter maker. The converter will take a little bit to make. Time length varies.

Making the car lighter? There is a host of areas and things you can do. How far you want to take it is another thing entirely! Are we talking just a few pounds or a lot of pounds?

Below is what I’m doing starting to a Duster for weight reduction.

You took the engine out for a weight reduction ?? Lol that looks like a nice project....I'm thinking just a few pounds... I was thinking of a aluminum radiator aluminum water pump I heard bad things of aluminum water pump housing so maybe not that.. and maybe a fiberglass Hood and maybe a lighter power steering box or something like that..

An aluminum water pump housing from 440source has bad rap on a small sized port inside the housing. I have not had any issues with mine. It is also easy to open it up with a die grinder or even a dremel. So have no worry there. A aluminum W/P and housing takes care of the front of the engine. The only other thing is aluminum pulley, which I wouldn’t bother doing, unless it didn’t have any AND a stock look isn’t needed/wanted.
Your call.

A manual steering box saves a lot of weight, if you don’t mind putting muscle into some slow driving maneuvers.
The box itself is aluminum and you loose all of the brackets and pump and hoses.

Fiberglas drops a good amount. What about a bumper?
On my ‘79 Magnum, the putter chrome is weighty.
The inner bumper is REALLLLLLY heavy.
Split them up and save big!

I might look into a water pump housing and open it up with a dremel. I would put aluminum pulleys but I don't want underdrive pulleys if I can find aluminum pulley the same size as stock I will totally get them... how does the inner Fender look like??

The inner fender on your car?
I am not familiar with your year car at all. I think it’s part of the unibody. On the Magnum, it’s bolt in and out.

The charger doesn't have an inner fender

I think they claimed 8something to one. Probably really more like 7.5 to 1.
That is nothing... you think I'll be able to run 89 octane or should I just stick with 91?... you think I could get more compression with the thinner gasket but I want to try to run only 91 max I don't want to run additive that would get very annoying every time I fill up I would have to add additive
