Looking for anyones thoughts on "Hays" converters. Putting a dedicated race car together and hays is one of the brands that I came across. Thanks in advance for any input.

Never heard of a Hays convertor Hays Clutches yes. Hmmm just looked it up and sure enough there it was. Looks to be a Holley brand.

yup, same here. I'm wondering if the converters are same quality as the clutches.

I’ve destroyed a few converters. I have a coan now and it has seen many runs without a whimper.

These days I'd go with a Dynamic (Lupo). My 9 1/2 is very impressive. There are several others that have real good reps. A top quality, correctly built convertor makes the car.

I bought a Hays for my drag car. The stall was way over the advertised. They took it back and refunded my money.

Plenty of good converter brands out there. To be honest I've run Dynamic, Hughes, B&M, Turbo Action, Ultimate, ATI, PTC. They all work when the correct selection is made. PTC has a really good low priced converter. So does Bubba at Perfect Converter.

Back in the day I ran a stock 11" OEM, a B&M 10", modified B&M 10", Turbo Action 8 3/4" 3800(several) Turbo Action 4200, Coan 8 3/4". My Satellite had a Turbo Action 10" tight that was really good. My current is a Lupo Dynamic 9 1/2" that seems to be great. ATI, PTC, Ultimate all have good reputations. dvw knows his stuff.
