Many hours under Fords and Jeeps.
My first Mopar project necessitates
lots of questions and reading. I chose
FBO as the go to site. Good people
that are knowledgeable. A good sense
of humor mixed in to alleviate the stress
of working on unfamiliar mechanics.

or has anyone else noticed that most of the questions here r from folks that have no idea what they r doing under the hood , they r mistaken that they r mechanics , they think because they can change oil & plugs on a small block what ever they somehow have instantly become mechanical . now i know not everyone has my 44 yrs of shade treeing under the hood of my cars / i have made some boner screw ups . but when i got stumped i asked my cousin who is real mechanic as of now he now has allmost 50 yrs under the hood (we r 3 yrs apat in age . he took a aotu mechanics class @ a vocational school back in the early 1970's he can set points yet + most of his 50 yrs was @ a dealership he worked under a couple master mechanics , the one guy was working in a Chrysler dealership in the 1960's he PEO ed 69 hemi Daytones &70 super birds ') the other was his shop Forman he knew alot about gm stuff the old chrysler guy knew a toon about the older mopars

And a lot of questions are from guys with poor grammar, don't know how to punctuate a sentence and can't spell worth a damn !!

I will help when I can but for myself I have to learn the hard way sometimes that way I never forget the trouble I had with whatever I was working on. Remember also some people do better with pictures not words. I believe if you want to work on your car read the book cover to cover to get a good understanding of what you are getting into. Watch out for upgrades as that can take you places you never want to go. My biggest thing is if your a newbie listen to what your being told and never worry about a dumb question because your fix maybe not the same as others. Trouble shooting can be your best friend when you come with a question bring everything you did to the table not half of it or you may in up in the wrong rabbit whole. Quick fixes are just that a quick fix. Learn to do it right and you'll be happy in the end.

Yeah Buds one of the most helpful guys on here ! Not to many can beat him.
NOBODY can beat his wall of text ! Nobody !

Check it out bro - once you go back your 44 years of “experience“ maybe then you could also recover - or learn to spell, punctuate and form a proper sentence For the first time. You’re calling people idiots … but then you sound like one yourself. Believe me there are plenty of “FSMs” for proper English too. Pick one up you might learn a thing or two. Or better yet ask a few English questions here and see what you get.

Some people fear a period more than a middle aged woman.
I think a middle aged woman would fear
the period not being there.....
Commas are a good thing also.
Let's eat grandpa.
Let's eat, grandpa.

why ?

that's not necessary
this isn't cancel culture here

it's not political in nature

everyone has an opinion, right or wrong
he is entitled to it

don't read it if you don't like it
or maybe even give him a red X if you disagree
(then it's a good idea/common courtesy to explain why, in some cases too, some it's obvious & not necessary)
or just click on the next page or next thread, move on
(or just use the IGNORE feature, click on their screen name & then click the tab 'IGNORE')

we don't need any more censorship tactics
then we have already
(sorry I'm not insulting the mods, we have mostly great & fair mods here)
Lots of Hippocratic censorship played by some moderators on this forum. All depends if your in the good old boy click. IMO

There's something missing....
My uncle is a strange man, if we’re allowed to visit him at the facility, he has to wear his special jacket.

(my uncle is fine, I’m just having fun, and taking this thread waaay off the tracks! Hope the OP enjoys his thread:icon_fU:.)

I notice good ole Mopar Marty has had ample time to respond to some of these queries addressed to his thread - but has seemingly disappeared. I for one hope he’s steeped in one or two of those English books I referred him to. Or maybe he’s just finishing up his dinner of Humble Pie. Whichever the case either one would be good for ole @MOPAR MARTY. God Bless you man….

I'll not degrade anyone here simply based on
graphics and Grammer.
It's their knowledge that's prized. (And their
sense of humor if they have one.) I ment no
disrespect. Just trying to point out you left
out of your example, the very thing that leads
to what you were trying to point out.
A comma.

Oh please, it’s hard to offend a smart ***, I noticed I left out the comma after I posted it. I just found out today you can edit your posts. But I said to hell with that let’s have fun!

I agree. I wasn't approaching you in a
condescending manner. I just thought
it pretty funny.

I agree, @MOPAR MARTY have you learned anything yet?

All joking aside, I hope this thread stays. And anyone that wants to be pissy about something, instead of posting a rant thread, maybe they’ll look at these 4 pages and say, “oh we’re all humans and make mistakes, and we’re not perfect,”

And maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt too. The internet will always be a place to ask questions, but you’ll always get a couple of bad apples that have to ruin it.
