That last one reminds me of our first engine swap in a buddy's Barracuda. Its middle of February and we're in a two car garage with the doors closed. We had spark, we had gas but it just wouldn't start. So we start squirting quick start in it - which is heavier than air for those who don't know. This went on for some time with the occasional pop and sputter just to taunt us. Suddenly there's a flash and WOOF at about a two foot height across the whole floor as all the ether we'd shot into it ignited !!

Oh, the reason it wouldn't fire and run ... significant vacuum leak due to not plugging a port on the back of the intake manifold.
