Forgive me if this has been addressed before (and please point me to the answer!) but I have searched every way I know to no avail.
My roadrunner was restored long years ago before I bought it, and the interior code is M6B5. Everything in the interior is B5 / bright blue, except for the headliner and the plastic covers over the seat belt retractors, and those two items are dark blue, like I’ve seen with B7 interiors. My heart is telling me that the headliner at least, should be bright blue, if not also the retractor covers, but I don’t know for sure. I’ve had several 71’s through my life, but every one I’ve had before was black inside, and those are no brainers. I’m absolutely loving the blue interior, but that dark blue headliner looks like rain cloud over my head!
I look forward to finding the answer from the very experienced family here.
Thanks!

My 70 RR has the B5 and B7 combination. It has the darker of the two on the head liner and the seat belt buckles. Hope this helps.

You might find the answer at Hamtramck-Historical.com - there are trim & color selectors on there, like what the dealerships would show you when ordering a car.
Fascinating site with tons of info.

Charles, I’m guessing from you seat upholstery pic, that the vinyl is two tone blue in the 70 model? That would seem more logical to me that ma Mopar would possibly keep that theme and make the entire interior two tone maybe? I had a 70 GTX back in the 90s that was lime light green and had black and silver seat covers.....loved that car!

Thanks for that link topside.....I will check that out for sure.

Thanks to both of you for the input.

I forgot to add that this is a St. Louis car......in case that matters.

If it bothers you, change it. It's your car, do what makes YOU happy!

I agree wholeheartedly, and I just got samples in the mail, so I’m placing an order this week......I just wondered why it was done that way last time....makes me say. Hmmmmm. Lol

I have no idea what color my carpet is supposed to be. When I removed it 28 years ago I was a heavy beer drinker and I didn’t save a piece of the old. I do have my broadcast sheet maybe I can figure it out. Oh I forgot to mention I no longer drink alcohol but if I did maybe I would remember. Lol

Hahaha! I still go through a fair quantity of beer myself (not mixed with driving nowadays)..... graduated down from wild turkey! Lol. Honestly I don’t know why the good Lord spared me from my “10’ tall and bullet proof” days, but I’m surely glad he did! I did the same things every hot rodder did back then too......who knew someday we’d want them back the way they came? I told my wife a few weeks ago that I hauled tens of thousands of dollars worth of highly sought after factory castings to the scrap yard back then......no vision!
