Take all the dang ships out of them!! :D

Check this out
I used to crab in the chesapeake bay some years back. You know how it is, you meet all kinds of people.
So after crabbing one time I came in with less then a bushel, they just were not hitting the bait. So this guy says "how did you do?". I said "not well I've done better ". He says " watcha think happened looking for the tide to come in high and she turns out low?".
I had no answer.

high tide
I used to surf Galveston and there are places where you can't go anymore right off the seawall where there used to be a 200 foot beach. High tide it's only worse. They keep replacing the sand but all that's doing is making the seawall shorter. Used to could drive off the end of the seawall down on West Beach. There was a nice ramp right off the end of the seawall and was around 15* slope to the beach. At 70 you could catch air. At 85 you would land just before the transition from pavement to the beach and when the car rebounded, you were in the transition and it made things really smooth. In 69 the water was 50 yards to the left at low tide and now, it's washing away the dunes that are 200 feet to the right. It's probably been 7 or 8 years now since I've been there and can only imagine where low tide is now but even back then, the pavement was washing out and the water never recedes back anymore.

Then there's Lynchburg Ferry and the Galveston Ferry and the landings had to be raised on both so they could dock. That's happen twice at the Galveston Ferry and 3 times at the Lynchburg Ferry. The second time the GF was raised, they raised it a lot more than they did the LF so the GF's landing stayed good for a lot more years.

In the past few years there's been talk about raising the seawall. Doesn't matter why the oceans are rising but they are....

maybe the earth really is flat...... and it has tilted in your direction :fool:

The drought problem is easily solved also. Since the human body is 60% water, just eliminate half the human race !!

Start with the fat fucks 'cause you'll be reducing food shortages as well.

And all of the people wading in the oceans around the world. Also, remove all of that plastic trash dumped in the ocean.

A lot of that stuff isn't dumped in the oceans. Well, in a round about way it is whenever it rains hard enough to pick up the plastic trash from the streets etc and flush it down the storm drains which drain into the local water ways and bayous etc which in turn makes it's way into the oceans. I'm amazed at how many people think the drains along the roadways go into the waste water treatment plants!!!

And I forgot about that thread I started in the PF that was pretty much the same as this on lol. Oh well. The 'similar threads' showed up and there it was.....
