Would anyone have pictures of a 1968 Charger trunk as it looked from the factory. How the jack/spare tire was mounted, trunk mat etc etc. I also would like to know the correct routing of the fuel gauge wire in the trunk. Any help would be appreciated!

I’m thinking we may want to do away with this site then due to all answers are available on google lol

Well I don't know about that one. Most times the guys will jump in to answer most questions. Not so much for the obvious ones though. Or maybe even take some flack over certain questions. And I'm not giving you any, just trying to help you out. But like I said if you had of googled what I did earlier it would have directed you to here anyway. Plus some of the auction/sellers sites. Most of those place have beautiful pictures and videos. Take that Vangaurd Motors website. They have one heck of a lot of photos. Inside, out, in and under. I have scoured their site at all the second generation Chargers. Past and present. But like you know by now, take everything you see on the internet at your own discretion. But I think if you had of just used the search engine in the upper right hand corner if would have taken you to a few pictures for sure. I know I have used if for a lot of things I was wondering about. I think I spend more time there then the average member. But the search engine won't help you if you don't know the name of the part.

Good luck.

It’s all good just jabbing you as you did us lol. Since I’ve bout this 68 Charger R/T I promise you I have spent countless hours searching the net for pictures to make this car correct. This is not a restoration but trying to get it back on the road and looking correct as a 118,000 mile car. I have seen several 68 trunk pictures but what is interesting they are all not the same. I am not sure of the placement of the tire iron. I do appreciate your feed back and don’t take thing too serious. We all enjoy this hobby together.

I hear you on the countless hours. Been there, done that. I have been at the receiving end of not doing a search posse. lol That's why I mentioned the part about not knowing what a part was called. Because if you don't know what a part or piece is called, hard to do a search for it. lol
Yea all the pictures are different but you look at lots and make the choice of what you can live with. Have you checked out DodgeCharger.com lots of pictures there too. Same as here. Lots of knowledge.
The tire iron is in the same spot as the 69/70's. So a picture of the tire iron will be in the same location. It goes through that little bracket that's welded to the trunk extension that holds the hold down spring right? The other end sits in the bracket that holds the base of the jack.
Try googling 69 Dodge Charger jack hold down. Always seems to be more pictures of the 69 version

Right behind the filler pipe straight off the wiring harness on the drivers side. I believe its the blue wire. I'm color blind. Might be purple??? Life's a bitch. Spare tire sits on those two brackets with the hold down bolt bracket in the center between those spare brackets.
