Hey guys tried searching, but no luck. I’m using the USCartool spring relocation and mini tub kit. Going with Caltracs and split monos and sliders.

My 67 R/T is a Super Stock spring car so I want to do something different

I here the sliders lower by 1/2”

Anybody doing this?

I’m running my 15x10 steelies with 5.5 bs, 295/65r 15 M/Ts because I have them.

The question is do I go with the regular split mono springs or the 1”

Split monos +1”, rear tire is 29.5, car has shackles. I originally got the plus 1" mono's because i thought i was going with sliders but the car is 99 percent street driven. While it may not be the perfect track set up, I still like the rake look anyway.

Not a 63 but basic same concept for an E Body. I mini tubbed my Challenger. Moved springs inboard to frame rails and run Caltracs with split mono leafs with -1" since I run a 30" tall tire I didn'twant the jacked up look. I have 15x12 wheels with 315/60/15 Drag Radials for street and a 29.5x10.5W on the strip.

FYI, the instructions for the USCT spring boxes suck. They leave out pertinent information on getting them squared up and aligned in the rails. I cover this on the last couple of updates on my build thread. I have not gotten to the tub part yet but the instructions for those look ok for now.

I used a long 8' solid rod the diameter of the leaf spring holes. Slide through both spring relocation pieces from side to side, squared everything up and measured many times before welding everything up.

Good way to keep things where they are supposed to be. The instructions are beyond vague and it would really be beneficial if they even showed some drawings on what to do as an example. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger and just weld them on like they said in the instructions. Buyer beware for sure.

I might try the 315/60/15s. Thanks for the response! That is a wicked Challenger by the way.

Luckily the guy putting those in has done it a lot, although on A bodies. Definitely going to check out your thread!

Good to know. Thank you

Definitely!

I was going to use the 295 series tires, but with the 315's and 295s side by side there wasn't enough room because the 295 was taller. My car also using cal tracks. Rides good on the street. I'm using their 9 way shocks and loosen them up while running around town and full tight at the track

I used the USCT kit and agree that the directions suck. I squared mine to the front torsion bars using triangulation. Before I started, my car had always had more outboard room on the pass side. When I was done squaring the boxes up, it was exactly the same way still. it actually gave me a level of confidence that I had them in there squarely. Im running a 30” tall tire (PBR 29.5x10.5) on a 15x10 / 5.5 bs wheel. I also had to move the axle rearward by nearly 1/2” to clear the front edge of the stock wheel opening. I achieved this by having USCT build my buckets with the mounting holes rearward by my specified dimension.
running stock ht Calvert split monos and shackles.

When I did my Dart I used the original leaf spring brackets for alignment. I used threaded 5/8” rod, which eased the process. Even found a couple of pictures.

I did same but ran the rod thru the stock existing hangers, figured they were in the correct place from the factory.

Yes, I guess that is what I was meaning as well. Went through all four pieces at once.
