1969 A12 roadrunner TURN Signal / FUEL Guage Problem-
I just Installed NEW M&H Dash and Engine wiring, everything's OK, Except for when I use LEFT Turn Signal. FUEL Guage begins to "Peg" or move to BEYOND Full" Right Signal this Does NOT happen. Kinda weird. Thought I'd seen it all.. Apparently not. Anyone have any advice? All lights work, Horn, brakes, tails, headlights. No reverse lights either. But thats for another day. I guess there's.a switch in the console (for a Satellite) Ive never seen with an A12 Coronet? Weird! And of course, THANK YOU in advance-

First thing you can try is unplug the fuel sender and see what happens.
I've had to correct issues on new harnesses.
I guess electrical is hard EVEN FOR THE GUYS THAT MAKE THE STUFF LOL

Does the dash have an indicator for directionals?

Does the gauge indicate otherwise?

On your back up light issue... Might want to contact M&H or Year One... 68 used a one pin NSS on the trans and a a switch on the shifter for B/U lights.... 69 uses the three pin switch on the trans for both functions...

On the fuel gauge issue both other suggestions are good another thing to check is the grounds on the turn signals & the dash cluster, is that jumper wire that bolts to the column and the dash frame in place?

It does, and occasionally, the small RED "Warning" lamp will dimly light up.. This is very strange! I'm thinking something WITHIN the New harness may have been assembled incorrectly..
Thank You

I didnt think of that! I will check.
This is weird. I assumed it may be wrong Flasher (say for a 3 light system?) But cant see that causing FUEL guage to seem to "Short".. It acts like it's "Short-to-Grounding" the LEFT T.S.switch?
Thank You for that suggestion!
Will Update ASAP

HAHA!! Indeed, M&H was soo far behind around 2021/22 then all og a sudden? They have way too many HU274 "69 440 Six BBL" Automatic dash harnesses.. I may have gotten a "Rushed" one.
Ive also noticed the Main, ROUND Pin Pigtail for guages,(Non-Rallye) style, DOESN'T stay connected at BACK of cluster.. Keeps just coming loose. Causing 1/2 the guage lights to stop, and Fuel guage to go "Inop".
Thanks a Bunch!
