I got the date wrong, I believe was early 2000s but I ended up finding it, it was about removing the accumulator spring and cranking up line pressure

"Get your *** in gear" was the article, if I recall. There was a picture from the Middle East somewhere with a burro/jackass that was strapped to a cart and the cart was too heavy. The jackass was sticking up in the air with it's feet dangling when the cart tipped backwards.
They mentioned the accumulator spring and using any type of even cheap ATF, them NOT risking dripping ATF into their $2000 digital camera and a few other things.
