74 Charger: pulled 10 wrenches out of the quarter panel drain hole...

I had a noisy trunk lid I thought, but after removing the right quarter panel extension drain plug I pulled out 9 'vintage' metric Thorsen wrenches (6 of them are 'derusted') that had been fallen from the side of the trunk. LOL!

And also a kind of plate? Does anyone know what this is?

Worked with a mechanic that had worked at a GM dealership. They found a liquor bottle in a frame of an offending rattle in a new car.

Almost a full set. Tip your tool box over while going around a corner and loose a set.
 
There were a few foreign cars in 74 and a lot of Metric motorcycles.

This happened years ago, so unfortunately no photos. My father was rummaging around in the trunk of his drive to work beater (late 70's Dodge Diplomat I think). He walks in the shop carrying a pointed, cylindrical object wondering what it is. After carefully setting it down, I took a measure and confirmed my suspicion, it appears to be a 75mm projectile. I told him to call the local police, report it and have them deal with it, which he did. However, he got impatient and put the thing back in the car and took it to the police station himself! (Imagine walking into a police station with that in this day and age!) Get a call from the police about an hour later saying it is all good, the shell had already been fired. What a bunch of dumb asses. They didn't know the difference between the projectile and the shell casing? The thing is probably still sitting on someone's desk at the station 40+ years later.

I had a rattle at the back of the Plymouth. I wrapped rubber hose around all brake and fuel lines where it looked like it could possibly make contact with the body. Triple checked shocks were tight. Still that rattle. Took the back seat out and found a 13mm spanner under there.

My '69 Charger is currently in restoration at a shop. They sent me a photo of some tools they found in the well of the trunk. I'm the original owner of the car, have done almost all of its maintenance myself, and I didn't recognize any of the tools as mine.

I know that I have found odd stuff. I’ve owned nearly 70 cars, trucks and RVs.
Porno mags, joints, unrelated car parts, clothes , all sorts of weird stuff.
