A sad story here. I was doing a kitchen and bath for a family about 15 years ago. We started talking about bikes, he said he wanted to get a Hayabusa. I asked if he was into crotch rockets, I wasn’t. He said no, he hadn’t ridden much of anything. I never saw a bike around so that didn’t surprise me. I said Dale, you don’t want to start out on one of these, it’s the fastest thing out there. He was convinced that’s what he wanted, nothing anyone would say could change his mind. About 5 months later, I read in the newspaper, he was killed on that bike, on his block, hitting a tree head on at about 80. He left behind his 2 kids and his wife. I talked to his wife after, she actually saw what was left, after the accident, it had tore him to pieces, and decapitating him.
