VDub was the first engine I modified . 1500cc Holley 2 barrel ported heads Scat cam, EMPI headers Mallory dist deep sump. Had a friend's father shave the 0.10 for more compression. Went pretty good. But a $400 426 Hemi got me out of that.

No that was 1970. Sold it in 74 as pictured except air cleaners. It was in a 62 Dart Hemi torqueflite and Dana 60. Bought it back minus the Dart in 1987+/- a year $2000 all the money I had.
