I like making things for the little lady when I have time, she’s a patient lady. When we were dating , she was looking for a large storage/shelf thing for her living room. We went to a huge antique flea market thing and she was looking. To me it was all just old junk, all needed work, not quality stuff and not really what she wanted. I said draw me a picture of kinda what you want and I’ll see what I can do. I didn’t tell her, I bought the wood and had her come to my place. I had her help me, she was blown away and got exactly what she wanted. I also did it for my girls, until we moved here. It’s fun, going from a little picture to the look on their face when I brought it to them. The only bars I ever made were for customers, never was a drinker, so I’ve never had one.

I got my job at Chrysler when someone made a comment that I could build anything from a picture. My future boss pulled out a 2 inch picture of a brass inlaid conference table from better homes and gardens. I built it and that set my reputation in stone.

I installed some new equipment at a new customer shop. We were introducing ourselves and the kid said his name was Bj. I asked short for Benjeman. He said no just Bj. His dad said tell him how you got the name Bj. He said because Dad wishes I would have been one
