Hope they don't suffer like a few places rurally here,
did a couple years back, whole town burned to the ground
Paradise was one, the Rim Fire was a bad one too in Yosemite too
seems they burn every year or every other year
smoke makes it nasty
Anyway for NM that sucks, stay safe

Day before yesterday down in Calaveras County,
next co. west down the hill from Tuolumne Co.
here they have a fire near Copperopolis called the "Aero Fire"
started as a grass fire, 3000+ evacuated, in the path
they had 60mph wind gusts
today not as bad wind wise
but another 5,000 people/homes still without power
no doubt human started or powerlines etc.
CalFire got it handled somewhat, mostly contained,
But;
it looks like they are letting the grass burn to me,
when they showed it on TV, mostly open country (like ranchland)
with a few conifers & oak trees scattered about
Supposedly as of last evening no structures/homes "were destroyed"
what ever that means, 'just charred' a lil' baked paint & decks I guess,
Calaveras Co. Sherrif said;
few hundreds of the evacuated people can go back home,
as of this AM...
All kinds of shelters were opened up for families & those with pets
&/or livestock too...
Rural Calif. people take care of each other, nothing like the shitty's
