I don’t know much about Vettes but didn’t a lot of them have X frames as well as other GM’s? Just never looked that stout to me in a side impact.

C1 Vettes pretty sure X framed. C2s think were perimeter frames.

No. Corvette's never had just an X frame - the Impala's had that. Corvettes, including Solid Axles (C1s), had a perimeter frame along with an X within the perimeter.

That's nuts! Mine does 54-55 & that's fast enough for me. One good wave over the stern and that boat will be swamped.

I used to drag race my boat at the shoot out at the lake of the ozarks, 73 mph. I've watched a few go over. Those boats are not made for rough water. Too much trim, and it will catch wind and flip. It's an extremely dangerous water sport. I did it a few times till my neighbors Velocity went over backwards. Theresa put an end to that.
