I picked up 500 pounds of sand for the Road Runner.
I want to blast and prime as much as I can asap.
I need to chop the floor out before I blast;
but I need to replace this rocker before I chop out the floor
the inner and outer rocker box is about the only thing that holds the bottom of these cars together, so I need to get it strengthened up
I hope to be hitting it hard this week
the other rocker is rock solid; I usually only see rocker rust on these cars behind the quarter panel; if any....... not sure what happened here

bolted the Challenger back together to confirm I didn't screw it up...... I didn't...... score!

got Jeffs rocker on the run, should have another round of pics tomorrow..... I'm set up pretty good

oh, and I cleaned my shithole.......it was way overdue

When you do full quarters, do you connect to the c pillar in the stock area (under the lead filler) or do you intend to follow the cutline you have in the picture? I am curious because if I can't find a body guy around here pretty soon, I may just attempt to replace the quarter on my 68 Coronet myself. I figure I can always pay someone double to unf___k it if I screw it up.

I'll remove the lead and go up to the seam, I'm just not there yet....... when I do, I will weld it solid

the quarter is installed under the roof skin and spot welded to the inner before the roof is installed........ it's pretty much impossible to slide the quarter up under the flange on the roof; and after the welds are drilled out the flange is pretty much swiss cheese missing half it's metal.

I'm not there yet, but I'll make a new flange for the roof; also there's 2 other small obstacle I'll get to later.

this is where the quarter will live, hopefully the other side cooperates like this one....... tail light panel and drops should help dial it in
