1966 Belvedere

Mine came with auto, factory AC, variable wipers with electric washer and manual steering. That was it. Seems to be a bit odd for a Belevedere I 2dr sedan. The crazy part is that the floors weren't rusted out in the usual area for having rubber mats and AC.

Rubber probably prevented the floors from staying wet.

It has good compression and oil pressure. 920 heads and a steel crank. We are going to tune it up and put it in the car with the 727.

I have the twin car to that. Same color interior but mine is a radio delete. I have a 440, 3.91 and a TF. My paint and body are a 5, but gets tons of looks from people that know what their looking at. Great car, best of luck getting it together. I enjoy watching the progress.

The owner wants to get rid of it. For sale ad coming soon.

Could I get you to post a pic of the fender tag of this neat little coupe? I'm working on developing a '66 MoPar combo fender/VIN tag decoder and I seem to learn a lot from the base cars. If shy about posting the VIN, texting the first seven characters would be helpful and spill no beans. Thanks in advance.

What paint and procedure did you and the owner use on the K-frame. Looks sharp! Thanks for the updates

Anywhere I can see specs and parts on your 440 build? 440, 727 TF, 3.91 also going in my 1966 Coronet 2-door sedan? Thanks!

The K member was just cleaned up by hand and painted with semi gloss Rustoleum.

Recently, there was a thread on a '66 Plymouth Belvedere II wagon for sale. Thread now closed. Someone asked to have the fender tag decoded and I've done so as exercise and testing for my '60-'66 Decoder. I'm just loading and testing '66 data and have not yet loaded Interior TRM data. VIN was not posted so I estimated one based on the defining first seven characters. Anyone with knowledge and/or interest in '66 Fender Tags., please review the attached report for accuracy.
