Had a friend that a jaguar like that in the early 70's. It didn't have a drivetrain in it when he bought it. He dropped a small block in it, sweet!! He did the same with a Datun 240Z. A 350 with a 350 turbo fit perfectly with the shifter coming out in the stock location. He put a wide body kit on it. It was fun to drive.Car ****.
Those bucket seats do not tip ahead, do they? I have one of my seats apart for some repair. I found that, what would normally be the seat hinge, as part of the upper seat, is square on the bottom instead of being rounded. When assembled to the seat bottom frame, this prevents the seat back from folding ahead. Our granddaughter has the buckets in the 64 Polara 25th anniversary drag car. The console is in the shed. Taillights are in storage. 313 car. I purchased this car the way it is. If i were to do it, which I can’t feature, I have a non original 313 and trans. Rad grille.
I can appreciate that. I have WAY more $$$ into my 4-door Polara than it will ever be worth; too many doors. But, we are 2nd. owners, having had it since 1980, with many memories with it and our two kids, (not kids anymore; my daughter just turned 50 last week). We took them to Disney World in it 40 years ago. My daughter got her driver's licence, using it. It was mainly my wife's good weather car, driving to work at the city library. Many people in town got to know the car, because of this. We have too much emotional attachment to our old Polara, as it is pretty much a part of our family. Our granddaughter has the buckets in the 64 Polara 25th anniversary drag car.
