NASCAR driver switches to F1.

I seriously doubt any Nascar driver has switched to F1 unless you mean switching to an F1 trailer. Even then, I would be surprised.
Nascar teams have their own trailers spec'd to suit a stock car.

It's 600 million plus to run 1 car for a season. They have airplanes.

My motto is "if it has cool cars I'm going to watch."

Yup! I have shifted a good part of my motor sports watching from Nascar to F1... but I still enjoy them all. The car engineering and advanced technicals of F1 are fascinating.

But best of all, is watching racing at the local short tracks.

Except perhaps Mark Donohue and Mario Andretti.

Several NASCAR drivers have made their way to Formula 1, with varying degrees of success. Some notable examples include Mario Andretti, who won both the Daytona 500 and the F1 World Championship. Others include Dan Gurney, Mark Donohue, and Juan Pablo Montoya,

Pretty clear from the photo the OP included that he is not talking about the things that happened 50+ years ago.

On a side note, was not aware that Donohue drove F1. Gonna have to read about that.
