Looks good nestled in there. Engine setback looks to be very beneficial. That thing should hum.Well it's not next week yet, but I'm anxious.

Deck was cut .005. Pistons were .009 above deck so I went with .054 head gasket. It had .040 previously. Johnson lifters want .035 preload.I’m curious about what was changed that necessitated the need for new pushrods?
Is the cam position locked out now?
If it’s not top secret, what’s the lsa and installed position?

One more thing...
Had an annoying tick from when I first put the engine back in the car.
Pulled valve covers when I went to race in Florida in March and didn't find anything.
All header bolts were tight.
Lying under the car over the weekend rewiring starter, I see carbon on front of the head.
Evidently , the builder got wrong header gaskets.
I think they're for a 5.7 with egr.
When I redid the motor, the gaskets stuck to the headers and I just reused them.
Never thought to look at that when I put it back together.
Anyway, new gaskets are in.
Hopefully weather is good on Saturday so we can finally get to racing here...
