Comp Cams DLC Lifters.

I see Comp Cams have the DLC lifters in stock for our engines. Has anyone tried them yet? I used a set in a small block Chevy I built for a buddy last year, no issues after 2500 miles.

Sounds good but being ground correctly is the main thing. If they fail to rotate....

Those “ Diamond Like Carbon “ are slicker than you know what. !
AND
Having that DLC coating IMO will help them last a long time !!

Any Reduction in the friction of the components is always beneficial, don’t you agree.

Unless it's so slick it won't force the lifter to spin..

We have run numerous sets of them without an issues. However, regardless of type or coating on lifters it's the cam that seems to fail. Always pay the extra to have a hyd f.t. nitride treated.

Yes, at least for the lifters. Not sure if it ensures lifter rotation and protection of the cam lobes though? Maybe it does?

The lifters in post #9 are sol, not Hyd...also have a Chebby look about them...
