DLC Lifter break-in success. Budget 440 build.

DLC is not a gimmick.................................I Challenge YOU To Research The Topic 4 YourSelf!
Diamond Like Coating......................
Ok...i will, BUT I was hoping to hear real life experience with miles (many) on an engine. Your reply could have come right out of the sales guide lol. Not doubting, just asking.

Is Diamond powder actually used in some fashion??

WTF??? Hydraulic lifters set is $114 and solid lifter set is $2000? What is Comp smoking?

For that price difference I'll make the hydraulics solid...
Comp Cams is smoking Crack. Tool steel or not, they need to put the pipe down if they expect people to actually purchase those.

Especially on a motorcycle! Had a few really close calls with the mufflers on mine so took them off and added some extensions....the close calls stopped. Actually, the mufflers for a Honda 350SL were very expensive so that's the real reason for not adding new ones and running straights but I noticed the difference pretty quickly.

I installed a set in a 350 I built for a friend. They are paired up with a mild Summit cam, the engine is in a squarebody that he daily drives. They have about 4k miles and are still quiet. I would like to pull them and check the DLC coating this winter (I’m real curious). The springs are 110# closed and about 300# open.
