E85 turbo!I know some folks are more optomistic than others, but 600+ horse is a good bit to attain without power adders. I cant see from your pic how you are getting that power to the ground, but fitting it under the hood is def going to be a challenge. Is this fuel injected?? A Dominator is not easy to hide....
And it definitely doesn’t fit with a Torker and stock air cleaner.440 with a performer RPM with a stock air cleaner barley fits under a bulge hood. There is a tab that sticks out in the center towards the rear that I had to bend up to clear. I would just trim it off if your hood is not finished. Circled in this pic.

Any pix of this motor as assembled thus far??E85 turbo!
X2With a bulge hood, you can run any of common 4bbl hi rise intakes. It will come down to what air cleaner you put on top of it, if it has a dropped base, and how tall a filter you put in it.
Not back from machine shop yet, trying to get game plan for heads and intake matchAny pix of this motor as assembled thus far??

When you say common, any height dimensions? What have you usedWith a bulge hood, you can run any of common 4bbl hi rise intakes. It will come down to what air cleaner you put on top of it, if it has a dropped base, and how tall a filter you put in it.

large CID engines definitely have their advantages. I was sure you could get to those numbers and still be streetable, just wasn't sure you could do so with a dual plane intake. It would be hard to do so on a SBC but with a 440 it doesn't need to turn anywhere near as fast to get there. thanks600hp is doable with enough compression, head flow, and camshaft. While it is at the upper end of streetability it is doable.
A performer rpm will support that and if it is ported even better. Something like trick flow or well ported Edelbrock heads will get you there. 10.5-1 and a cam in the 240's @ .050 should do it. Hyd roller, solid flat tappet or solid roller. You may get there with a hyd flat tappet but the others will do it easier.
You can make 550 pretty easy but with the right parts it is achievable without being too high strung. 500hp is plenty for most people, especially if they are coming from an engine with 400hp at best previously.
