What do you have and did manufacturing location or year of car 66 or 67 make a difference? Clips change in 67?

I've had both kind of clips on the same vehicle & I know they were the factory original installations. Chrysler probably used what was readily available to them during assembly. I always save these kinds of things too for some reason.

I have the clip on the right actually looking for a few of the . Late 66 build date

I'm using the sheet metal type on my 65 build as the upholsterer swears the wire loop on the frog leg type will show through foam padding, he likes to use.

And they will. I didn't know there were flat ones available. They might work on my dash pad as well.

I know my 73 has the wire clips. My 67 I think uses both, depends on the application. Door panels are metal one I believe.

The original wire clips were softer, more springy, and easier to snap in place. You can ruin a panel with the new stiff ones. . A different type of clip but the same deal with under hood insulation. I about broke my thumb trying to snap them in place. I went to NAPA and bought a bag of plastic Christmas Tree clips. Easy peasy.
