nothing glamerous; but I drilled and filled 200 holes today...... quite the workout

knocked down the trunk welds too, they didn't need much, but there is 150 of them

Nice! Now you get to cut a big *** hole in it.

I can read Mark's mind. If I had a nickel for every plug weld I've done....

when the paint dries, these quarters can go on for the last time :bananaweed:........ maybe before I leave for Carlisle, but I have a lot going on

Suddenly more orange than black, I like it! At least you don't have to make another hat this year.

Nice! What do you use for sound deadening inside the quarters?

Oh my! Time to take a little break and hang with your buds at Carlisle.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he had something else up his sleeve…

Cool thanks
But hey how do we know its really you without a band-aid shot

I forgot I had to build a flange on each side at the roof connection....... by the time you drill welds and chop out little piles of factory mig, you're left with swiss cheese; so I learned to cut to the chase, literally....... chop it off and build new......... also had to put that post back where I found it

these quarters are not coming off anymore :bananaweed:

Interesting to see your quarter panel to roof fabrication. When I had Baby Blue painted in 1985, stripping to bare metal revealed a similar process, which had been performed in the 70s. I know it works, because it was still sound over 40 years later.

the screws will become plug welds, and I will fill the center gap solid......
