New to the Mopar world. Just bought a 1970 Charger with a running but wore out 440 and a 4 speed. Bought it blue and now doing the body work and replaced the passenger side quarter.

Does the "wore out" 440 still run?
It runs. Compression was 120-125 on all cylinders. After a tune up with plugs and wires and timing adjustment it actually purrs like a kitten. Seems to burn some oil, sounds stock, not original to the car, but period correct.

Not original is nice... can do anything you want to it and not worry bout it not being original anymore :)

Welcome to the site. I would not worry about those compressions numbers as long as it doesn't smoke too bad and if it uses some oil, just add some more. Enjoy the car, and I'm sure it's going to put a smile on your face while driving.
