And the removable caps are getting fased out on these batteries. I actually wanted a group 24 but they are all sealed flat tops now.

Measurements for the coat hanger. 7 1/2" from the front.

Does the inside fold of the interior trim slide or clip over the same bracket that holds the hardboard headliner up?
Bracket is at the 2" to 3" mark on the tape measure.

Putting mine back in my 62 hardtop, and it seems it does.

Problem is, there is a also the same clip above the back corner of the rear side window, square clip on a curve, and the trim doesn't 'clip' on to that one.

I guess I owe my Peeps an update on what I've been working on since the weather broke this spring. I've made a few changes and most was labor intensive to say the least. The old saying "One thing leads to another!"

@FU64RY donated a power steering box and a pump. The manual steering was getting too much so I bought kits to rebuild them and it wasn't too bad.

@w.Hudson gave me a good deal on the shorter steering shaft and coupler that is needed for the conversion. (First one he sent me the shipper lost it so he had to send me another!)

Rebuilt the steering box. (When I find the time I might do a "How To" on the box and pump.

Rebuilt the pump.

All done and painted.

Installed (what a job!) Bought pullys and brackets from 440 Source.

One thing leads to another. While I have the headers out might as well paint them.

While I have the steering wheel off I might as well refurbished it.

Speedometer was jumping last season. Might as well lube it up and the cable.

The whole time I'm doing all of this my garage door became damaged from a broken spring and I couldn't open it until I found another door. Found a "take off" from a real good guy who installs doors for a living. Saved me quite a bit of money.

The door has a spring on each side. The one spring had broke when I wasn't around. I hit the button on the wall to open the door and I noticed it was going up crooked, just one side. So I hit the button again to stop it but it wouldn't stop. Hit the button several times before it finally stopped and then it started back down. Then back up again! As you can see it sure buckled it up beyond repair.

I could see a cable breaking causing harm, but not the spring?

They can break too. The way that old "Genie" door opener bent that door in half I don't know why it needs springs in the first place. You would think it would have a safety clutch on it. Maybe it does?

New door looks better.

It's a Wayne Dalton. They have a bad rap because of their opener. They use plastic gears and such and it seems to give people lots of trouble. The door itself is built well. Double panel, insulated. Each panel has a pointed top that fits into the groove in the bottom of the next panel. Gives it support when it's hanging overhead. I adapted my tracks and springs and pullys to work with it.

Guy only charged me $50 and even delivered it! He said it will save him a trip to the scrap yard. I'll take it!

I have same type of door. Bought torsion bar with spring on the shaft. Wife had a daycare so one door had many cycles. Broke 3 springs and one Sears 1/2 hp door opener. The 2 other doors 1 Sears opener died a couple years ago. LED bulbs screw up the door opener signal and would sometimes open both doors.
